Fire-rated ceilings in Bristol
Our teams carry out fire-rated ceilings in Bristol and across the rest of Bristol. A fire-rated ceiling is a tested ceiling system that holds back fire for a stated time, usually 30 or 60 minutes, protecting either the void above or the structure.
Fire-rated ceilings for Bristol buildings
Office buildings in Bristol range from older blocks with tired grids to floors fitted out for each new tenant. We match tiles where we can and replace the grid where it no longer suits the layout. Education buildings in Bristol often have older ceilings due for replacement. In pre-2000 blocks we check the asbestos register first, then programme the work for holiday periods.
Typical fire-rated ceilings jobs we price in Bristol include office floors being re-tiled between tenants, classrooms refurbished in the holidays, damp-prone rooms in coastal buildings. Bristol is in the South West, around 81 miles from our Birmingham base on average.

Questions people ask
Do you cover all of Bristol?
Yes. We take on fire-rated ceilings across Bristol, including Bristol, and nearby areas such as Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire.
Can you fit a ceiling in an occupied office in Bristol?
Yes. We work evenings and weekends, sheet and move furniture section by section, and leave each area usable for the next morning.
Who decides if we need a fire-rated ceiling?
Your fire strategy, fire engineer or Building Control. We can quote to their specification and point out where a tested system will meet it.
Are all suspended ceilings fire-rated?
No. Most tiles have a good reaction-to-fire class, but fire resistance only applies to a complete system tested and installed as specified. Ask for the tested system reference.
