Moisture-resistant ceilings
Moisture-resistant ceilings use tiles and grid rated for high humidity, so they stay flat and do not sag, stain or corrode in washrooms, changing rooms and other damp areas.

How we do it
Standard mineral fibre tiles can bow when humidity stays high, and standard grid can rust at the cut ends. In damp rooms we use humidity-resistant tiles with a high RH rating and a grid with better corrosion protection.
A ceiling cannot fix poor ventilation. If tiles are sagging because extraction is weak, we will say so, and replacing tiles without dealing with the moisture source just repeats the problem.
What's involved
- High-RH rated tiles that stay flat
- Corrosion-resistant grid options
- Moisture-resistant plasterboard for MF ceilings
- Coordination with extract grilles and fans
- Suits washrooms, changing rooms and wet areas
Best for: Toilets, showers, changing rooms, leisure centres and plant areas.

Questions people ask
Why are our washroom ceiling tiles sagging?
Usually sustained humidity from poor extraction, sometimes a leak. We check both before replacing tiles.
Can you fit a ceiling over a swimming pool?
Pool halls are a specialist environment with chlorinated, very humid air. We use systems specifically rated for it, or advise a specialist where needed.
Is moisture-resistant the same as waterproof?
No. It resists humidity, not leaks. Any leak above the ceiling still needs fixing.
Where we fit moisture-resistant ceilings
We take on moisture-resistant ceilings across England, Scotland and Wales from our base in Birmingham. See the areas we cover or send your postcode with the form.
