Questions people ask
Do you cover all of Edinburgh and Lothians?
Yes. We take on MF plasterboard ceilings across Edinburgh and Lothians, including Edinburgh and Livingston, and nearby areas such as Central Scotland and Tayside, Glasgow and West Scotland and Northumberland.
Our ceiling in Livingston dates from when the building went up. Replace or re-tile?
If the grid is straight, clean and a standard size, re-tiling is cheaper. If it is bent, rusty or in the wrong layout, replace it.
How long before an MF ceiling can be painted?
Once jointing compound or skim is fully dry. That is usually a few days, depending on temperature and ventilation.
Can an MF ceiling be fire-rated?
Yes, using fire-resisting board in a tested build-up. The rating comes from the whole system as tested, so we follow the board maker's specification exactly.
