Acoustic ceilings in Lincolnshire
Acoustic ceilings across Lincolnshire: free survey, fixed written quote, and fitting out of hours if the building is in use. An acoustic ceiling uses high-absorption tiles, and sometimes denser backing, to cut echo inside a room and stop speech travelling over partitions into the next one.
Acoustic ceilings for Lincolnshire buildings
Retail units around Grantham usually need a fast turnaround, so we can work overnight in centres and on high streets to keep disruption to trading low. In older buildings in Lincoln we check void depths, window heads and the asbestos register before setting a new ceiling height.
Typical acoustic ceilings jobs we price in Lincolnshire include shop units fitted out before opening, ceilings in older buildings with low window heads, classrooms refurbished in the holidays. Lincolnshire is in the East Midlands, around 72 miles from our Birmingham base on average.
What the job includes
- Healthcare acoustics to HTM 08-01 where specified
- Sound absorption Class A–E to BS EN ISO 11654
- Schools designed to Building Bulletin 93 targets
- Void barriers and over-lays where partitions stop at ceiling height
Questions people ask
Do you cover all of Lincolnshire?
Yes. We take on acoustic ceilings across Lincolnshire, including Lincoln, Grantham and Boston, and nearby areas such as Nottinghamshire, Rutland and Derbyshire.
Can you work around our shop's opening hours in Boston?
Yes. We can fit overnight or before opening, and phase the work so the shop floor keeps trading.
Will acoustic tiles stop noise from the office next door?
Only if they are chosen for attenuation as well as absorption. Many high-absorption tiles are light and let sound through. If privacy between rooms is the issue we look at denser tiles or a void barrier above the partition line.
What is the difference between NRC and αw?
Both describe sound absorption. NRC is an American average; αw is the European rating that gives the A–E class used on UK datasheets. Compare tiles using the same measure.
