Questions people ask
Do you cover all of Rutland?
Yes. We take on MF plasterboard ceilings across Rutland, including Oakham, and nearby areas such as Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Lincolnshire.
Is an asbestos survey needed for older buildings in Oakham?
For any building put up before 2000, yes, before we strip out an existing ceiling. We will ask for the register or survey of the area.
Can an MF ceiling be fire-rated?
Yes, using fire-resisting board in a tested build-up. The rating comes from the whole system as tested, so we follow the board maker's specification exactly.
Is an MF ceiling better than a grid ceiling?
Neither is better; they do different jobs. Grid ceilings are cheaper and keep the void accessible. MF looks cleaner and can be fire-rated, but you need access panels to reach anything above it.
