Questions people ask
Do you cover all of East Riding of Yorkshire?
Yes. We take on MF plasterboard ceilings across East Riding of Yorkshire, including Hull and Beverley, and nearby areas such as North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
Is an asbestos survey needed for older buildings in Beverley?
For any building put up before 2000, yes, before we strip out an existing ceiling. We will ask for the register or survey of the area.
Can an MF ceiling be fire-rated?
Yes, using fire-resisting board in a tested build-up. The rating comes from the whole system as tested, so we follow the board maker's specification exactly.
Is an MF ceiling better than a grid ceiling?
Neither is better; they do different jobs. Grid ceilings are cheaper and keep the void accessible. MF looks cleaner and can be fire-rated, but you need access panels to reach anything above it.
